I went back to get some more paint and refinement on this piece. It's coming together! Oh, the King Eddy will never be the same again; dubbed the last dive bar in Los Angeles, it's being completely renovated and going more upscale. Definitely a symbol of the transformation of downtown! oil on canvas, 20 by 24

I never went into the King Eddy - peeked in the door once and took a whiff and ew! But I can still mourn the passing of a good dive bar. It's a good thing you are immortalizing it!
